Green Hill Civic Association Spring Announcements

Have you considered becoming a member of the Green Hill Civic Association? Springtime is a great opportunity to get involved. Annual membership for a household is just $75.

Membership dues support these important community features & more:

  • Lifeguards Wed-Sunday from 6/22-9/5.
  • Weekly trash pick up,
  • Yearly property taxes
  • Maintenance at the boat launch at Green Hill Pond

For a small uncharge you can increase your membership benefits and buy a sticker to keep your non motor boat at the Green Hill Pond launch area.

2016 Calendar of Events

Sat., May 28th, 9:30 a.m.  Beach Cleanup

Bring a rake or other tools, a pair of work gloves, and a large garbage bag, and we will all make quick work of clearing rubbish and flotsam from our beaches.

Sun., June 5th, 5:30 p.m.  Spring Dinner (sign up in separate mailing)

Summer kick off event at Spain Restaurant in Narragansett. You need not be a GHCA member to attend. Come and make new friends and renew old friendships while enjoying a wonderful meal. Menu and reservation form will be provided in a separate mailing. Please save the date.

Sat., June 25th, 10:00 a.m.  Spring Meeting on Beal’s Lawn

Bring a chair and get involved. All are invited irrespective of membership.  New issues, interests and concerns will be discussed.

Mon, July 4th, 11:00 a.m.  Fourth of July Parade

Decorate a float, decorate your bikes, bring all of the kids, dress up in a manner befitting the fourth. Join us for summer holiday fun at the intersection of Carpenter and Hilltop (southern branch) at 11 am.

Fri., Aug 26th,  7:00 p.m.  Annual Meeting

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church located at 4150 Old Post Road. Refreshments and socializing begins at 7 pm. Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

Sat., Aug 27th, 3:30 p.m.  End of Season Picnic on Beal’s Lawn

Members and houseguests invited. Bring a pot luck dish to feed 8-10. Enid Flaherty is the Event Coordinator. Contact Enid at enidflaherty@verizon.net.
